Install iPadian in Claude

Updated 10 October 2026

Add iPadian once, then ask Claude to create and preview small web apps.

Connect the remote server

  1. Open Customize → Connectors in Claude. Choose + Add → Add custom connector.
  2. Name the connector iPadian and enter this server URL:
https://os.ipadian.net/mcp
  1. Choose No sign in when asked how to authenticate, then add the connector.
  2. Start a conversation. Use + → Connectors to enable iPadian.
  3. Ask: Open iPadian. Look for the open_ipadian and preview_app tools.

Account and organization settings can restrict custom connectors. On Team or Enterprise, an owner may need to add it first. The interactive device view depends on MCP Apps support in the host.

Make your first app

Use iPadian to create a five-question space quiz. Keep all HTML, CSS and JavaScript in one complete file, with no external libraries. Preview it in iPhone view.

Try the questions, then ask Claude to change the difficulty or explain each answer. See the full quiz walkthrough.

Install the optional plugin

The plugin bundles the connection and app-building guidance. Download the Claude plugin ZIP. If your Claude account offers plugin uploads, open Customize → Plugins → Add → Upload plugin and select the ZIP. Open its Connectors tab and connect iPadian. If uploads are unavailable, use the remote connector above.

In Claude Code, extract the ZIP and start a session with:

claude --plugin-dir /absolute/path/to/ipadian

Run /mcp to check the connection. A terminal session may call the tools without displaying the device UI.

If the URL shows an error in a browser

/mcp is the protocol endpoint. An ordinary browser visit can show a method error because the client needs to send an MCP request. Use the browser preview to explore iPadian as a webpage.
